David Johnston CFO

The CFO, David Johnston, has over thirty years of senior financial management expertise. David Johnston, CFO, is now the principal of dbj Consulting LLC, which provides financial and strategic consulting to early-stage life science enterprises. He was most recently the Chief Financial Officer of ImmunoGen, Inc., a Waltham, MA-based oncology-focused biotech. During his time at ImmunoGen, he was in charge of many public issues as well as a non-dilutive royalty funding strategy. David Johnston worked as the CFO at Aveo Oncology and Genzyme Biosurgery before joining ImmunoGen. On the buy-side and sell-side, he oversaw both their first public offerings and various key projects. Mr. Johnston graduated from Washington and Lee University with a bachelor's degree in history and an MBA from the University of Michigan. David Johnston was on the boards of directors of RAW Art Works, a nonprofit youth arts organization, and Tissue Banks International, one of the nation's largest eye and tissue banks.
